Im fixing to have to go down this hyber hole myself at the end of this year and i dont even want to think about it cause it is so screwed up, for me i have never met my deductible with any medical insurance of any kind only go to the doctor about once every 3 years when i have to and usually only get 1 or 2 prescriptions at that time so no matter what im still having to pay out of pocket for everything.

If it's not in writing, it ain't true. If they're quoting you something, and they're confident in that, it should be verifiable in your plan (and they should be able to point to where), or they should be able to send you a written confirmation.
