Breea Clark is the mayor of Norman since 2019, she's the youngest and the 60th mayor of Norman.
However, her political affiliation cannot be found..... (R) or (d)...who knows....

It is CLEARLY obvious that she is a woke democrat who is going to do everything possible to make Norman into some leftist paradise.

Most of what I saw on tv that was for it was a lie. This, if passed, would make a state constitutional change. Then if the feds cut off their funding for it, the state would have to pay for all of it. More Obummer care.

And they can always withhold funds if Oklahoma doesn't do something the Fed's want done. They've done this in the past with Highway federal funds.

It passed by a narrow margin. How many OSA members will admit you didn’t vote yesterday? I voted no but seems plenty of deadbeats made it out to vote in more free stuff for those too lazy to work.

Why would Norman be like Austin? Because Norman is becoming the woke town (becoming, or already is). With it's woke mayor etc...just like Austin.
It's already "Austin North". Breaa the Mayor is the reasonable one. One of her compatriots was arrested in Norman for interfering with an officer, was arrested again at the Trump rally for the same and was just this weekend on the news because her neighbor was raped (other half of a duplex) and she was saying it was her that should have been raped, that the rapist got the wrong house! Not making this up at all. Her FB page is all about BLM. She's also running for a State Senate seat held by a Republican and I'm betting she has at least an even shot of winning that seat.

I wouldn't say Social Security or Medicare is Socialism; you have to work; to put into it over the course of your employed years in order to be eligible for either of these. If one chooses NOT to work, but to instead sit on the curb and panhandle, then that person will not be eligible for these.

You are forced to contribute to a program. The coverage of expenses does not relate to your contributions. Please define socialism for me if that's not it.

Still socialism. Change my mind.

When I saw there was a massive yes campaign for an issue where there was seeming no opposition to, I started wondering why it was being pushed so hard. As I learned more and more about it, IMO it was not good for Oklahoma to change our constitution in a way that likely will raise taxes substantialy, and will be almost impossible to repeal.

I have mixed feelings about the bill, I worked all my life to obtain medical insurance and still pay for it and a lot of the poor have squandered their lives from job-to-job, drugs and a lack of drive to strive to better themselves. Maybe others here have heard of the poor being refused medical care but I haven't heard of anyone being turned away from needed medical care as far as I know it's illegal for a hospital to refuse care if it is necessary. I don't know, we have made it for decades without SQ 802 so it couldn't be that necessary.

They can't turn anyone away for emergency care.
