[QUOTE="Frederick, post: 2991537, member: 17825"] I think it's important to remember those who gave their all for their country. The tragedy of the youngest of each generation having to sacrifice for our security and freedom. Even if you believe the cause is not always just or unnecessary, it's hard to fault the men who simply answered the call of their country. I'd like to particularly thank the Vietnam vets, as well. the way they were treated when they got back from the war was truly deplorable, and i appreciate their sacrifices. I'll never fully understand what the vets went through, having not been there myself. My grandfather was a vietnam vet, and i saw what the war did to him. He's a 100% disabled vet, it's hard not to appreciate what they went through. I'm glad that the veterans today are more appreciated than the ones past, even if our treatment of them needs a lot of work in many cases, especially in regards to the VA. I appreciate all vets for their service, regardless of the nature of that service. Sometimes it's not what you do or saw, but the service you rendered by going in.
