Lake Hefner Drive. Both men were in the vicinity of the business when Tilghman opened fire from a treeline outside the restaurant, hitting three people inside. The men then grabbed pistols from their vehicles and were directed to Tilghman by patrons leaving the restaurant. Both men commanded Tilghman to drop his pistol and shot the man when he raised the weapon and shot at one of the men. After Tilghman was shot, the men dsarmed him and began assessing his wounds before police arrived on scene. Prater praised both men for the "life-saving decisions while under very stressful circumstances". He also noted that both men had "received significant firearms training and employed tactics that lessened the potential that their use of deadly force would harm innocent bystanders."
