Minimum age to buy ammo in OK?

Any differences between pistol, rifle and shotty ammo?

18 for shotgun/rifle ammo, 21 for handgun ammo. Interchangable ammo is 18, as long as dealer is satisfied it is for a rifle. Question # 7

Don't know if their is a law on age limit for private sale of ammo but I will just say 18 since 18 year olds are allowed to buy pistols, rifles, and shotguns privately. Not allowed to buy pistols from a store though at 18.

Private transfers of ammunition are unregulated to non-prohibited persons as long as not engaging in business. My macho cousin used to be so burned that his older sis had to buy his ammo for him at the store. Then she just "sold" it to "little brother" which is legal.

An easy way to find out is see what age the register at Walmart asks for.

this and pellets/bbs are 17 or at least that is what they told me before I turned 17, thank goodness I am past that.....

There is no longer a requirement, since 1986, to have a license to sell ammunition...so a shop that only sells ammo is not bound to the over 21 rule (at least as far as fed law goes...)

Kind of hate to dig up old thread, but...

At WM today at gun counter. Young man there with father, brother and want some 6.5CM ammo. Clerk says must be 21 for rifle ammo. So dad has to buy.
