Look at how ALL the poor people that live under Socialist/Communist/ Fascist/ TOTALITARIAN REGIMES, where the government TAKES CARE OF THEM, STANDARD OF LIVING! Venezuela went from the richest nation in South America with the highest standard of living, to the poorest, with the lowest standard of living, in about 20 years of UTOPIAN COMMUNISM, All while having huge mineral deposits, and the largrest proven Crude Oil reserves on earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Communist China has started EXPLOITING Venezuela's natural resources, OPENLY since our 2020 COUP! That kinda makes me wonder WHO planned and orchestrated Venezuela's, as well as OUR, COUP, and installed a Communist Chinese PUPPET GOVERNMENT, BOTH PLACES!! Nobody wants to work fast food anymore.
McDonald’s had a sign on the drive thru window that said $15 per hour + a $2 per hour premium. This is in Salida Co.
Well, there are a few. The wife and I was in a Braum's store the other day, and I noticed a young girl (teenager) sitting at the computer where folks apply for a position. Then, she came over and sat down at a table behind my wife. After a while, someone with authority came over and talked with her. At least I think he had authority....he looked awfully young as well.
I’m filing taxes today and we will get reamed. I don’t get returns. Makes me sick when I hear or some of my dirt bag family members getting $6-$8000!
Few things.
The ebt cards sent to parents was everyone. Wasn't just reduced lunches as in okc meals are free because of the abundant poverty.
Now the reason we get it back is that the schools have been given so much funds due to covid that they couldn't use, but was marked for food. So they did this.....now it is 8 dollars a day and for each day of distance learning you get that on the card.
They also do this for summer time so these kids actually get to have a meal instead of going hungry.
As for the "NO ONE WANTS TO WORK" when was the last time any of you worked minimum wage? Was long time ago for me, and that was late 90s.
I was a teenager, imagine being someone with an education and as these businesses became used to the idea of skeleton crews, but wanted that PPP money....and trust me when I say most took it.
They have to advertise help wanted yet are not obligated to hire anyone....this is what is happening.
They overwork, and customers don't give a damn, cussing out some teenage girl because of your fries being cold, or whatever it may be.
They know they dont have to accept that abuse so they try to get compensation for it and when they are told no, they walk....non participation aspects and I applaud them for it.
How they are getting money is often times via web stuff, like BTC, or something like that.

That makes sense, but there are some communities that don’t have access to markets with fresh food. It also assumes that people have the ability to prepare fresh food which sadly isn’t the case.
Very true. Why would a kid want minimum wage when his/her parents are providing a new $60k vehicle and credit card.
Student parking lots blow my mind on a regular basis. My folks were right though, working for what you have makes you a far better person than having it handed to you.
