Mobil 1 for firearms.

For those of you who use Mobil 1 on your guns,what viscosity would you recommend? Thanks.

Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W50, it is what I use in my Harley. the Harley does not use oil, so every year I end up with a half quart left over.

I've got a quart of 10W-40 I've been using for a couple of years.

I do not think I would go buy Mobil 1 just for lubing a gun. However, if I had a quart on the shelve I would use it.

a wildcatter of some reknown uses mobil 1 cut with transmission fluid, haven't tried it yet cause i still have some of the old USGI CLP

I use the 5w30 oil on my pistols (left over from my truck) and I have a tube of Mobil-1 grease that I use on some of my rifles.

Got a quart of 5w-20 that I 've had for several years. Works great.

I use the drippings from the bottles when I change oil in my cars. So it's a mix of 0w40 and 5w20. It's free.
