Modern .45 Pistol search

So been trying to "modernize" my pistol selection....but so far have stuck to 9mm and .22. So what's out there that is exciting for a more modern .45? My baseline is a 1911 so far. I have a P226 and while I love it, I'd like some variety so that probably eliminates the P220.

FN? HK? Some other Sig? 2011? I guess my main requirement is it needs to have a reasonable threaded barrel option.

Other than that...I'm pretty wide open on suggestions.

Some that I own, PPQ 45, H&K USP 45 Tactical, USP 45 Expert, USP 45 Elite and the FNX 45. I can recommend them all for various reasons.

The CZ P10 45 looks very cool, but I've yet to see one in the wild.

The Springfield XDM, it has a loaded chamber indicator, a hammer cocked indicator and double-stacked magazines as well as the same 1911 grip angle all 1911 owners love.

Never owned one but always seemed like they would be awesome pistols.

You want a 45? I mean, this is modern. And technically a 45 cal.

45/70 THAT IS. (I mean, it's a .458 bullet anyways). DO IT!

JD8's list is pretty much what I would have in mind but don't discount the M&P 45 too much either. They are very good guns.
