1x2's, drilled for some neat hardware I found..."burned" it like I did my ammo shelf.
about $5 invested, and works for my height.

You need to but some foam pistol grips on those sticks at the top so you can use them as walking sticks, Like ski poles then when you need them a quick connect in the center..... dual function.....hell some of us old bastards may order a pair from yuh

If I get a small drill press, these would be easy to crank out. I cant drill a straight hole with my Dewalt to save my life (believe me, I tried). I'm not sure on quick release hardware...I loctited this together so I dont have issues in the field. I bet I could do something like that if someone were really interested though (pin with cotter key on one side?)

I used barrel bolts for these sets (one for me, one for a buddy). They were the perfect length to have a small washer on both sides and a fender washer between the two sticks. They tighten up completely on the wood without crushing it at all. Pretty slick it worked out just right.
