With this weather, it won't be long! I plan on going out tomorrow to see if anything is popping, but I think it will be a few days yet. Redbuds are usually a pretty good indicator.

My buddy that has a drop dead morel hunt area, went out today and said nothing. He is so serious that he is a member of a morel forum. At this time, today, this forum has reported morels in GA and Al.
None in the midwest. Looking forward to getting some.

Always the first week or second week of April here, last year was the first time ever that we picked in March. There's a lot of people from southern KS on the Morel forum, seems they're out everyday and report what they find, usually around April 1.
