Yea It cost me $10,000 for the beer.
It was worth it though.

We were deer hunting and the temps were very hot it was bow season.

Hunting on a buddies place and his dad was up on the top side of the property most of the day and into the late afternoon time
cutting and splitting firewood.
He tossed it into the back of his truck and had it filled just about 2" below the bed rails.
He was pretty proud of that load of firewood and for a guy that is 70 years old that is pretty good.

I seen his bed of firewood and commented that it was not all that much wood for all day working on it and i could fit all
that wood in my Geo Metro car.

He was all sweaty and yea I was busting his chops but he said I bet you can't put all that in your car.
I said 10 thousand dollars says I can you want to make the bet.

He stepped back and I said I got the money and I know you got the money so what will it be a real bet or not.
He said you are on.

I went to shake on it and his son said DON'T DO IT DAD!! he will make it all fit .
Dad says I got this boy.
DON'T DO IT I am telling you.

I GOT THIS!! Bet is on.
We shook and I began unloading all his hard days work into my little 2 door Geo Metro.

It all fit and I did not even get into the front seat.

I told you that was not much wood.
10 grand baby!

I told you dad not to do it.
Dad said bets a bet but he walked off a little upset with his head hung and went into the house and began his evening beer drinking.

He would usually come out and associate with us and he did not come out and about an hour later I went inside and he was "pouting" a bit.
Sitting in his chair watching TV.

I looked at him and said man it's hot outside and that beer looks good.
He said get ya one and before he could get one all the way out I interrupted him and said loudly I would give $10,000 for one of those beers right now.

He perked up and said get all ya want.
I got 1 and drank it and then said I guess this makes us even on the bet.
He said Yea I guess it does.

Yea I said but you are not getting any of your firewood back.

I do not think he cared too much about that.
A little bit of care though as the next day I drove off with his wood.

He commented to his son. He is actually driving off with my wood.
I told you not to bet him dad.
