"Romancing The Stone". I really like the part towards the end when Michal Douglas shows up wearing alligator boots. Danny DeVito is a comedic genius in this film too. That rotund little guy can bring you to tears from laughing.

Not a real big movie guy in general, but still enjoy a good one when I can find the time. On the whole I think most are overrated.
I think my favorite of all time would probably be Jacob's Ladder from 1990(?). Kinda sad, scary, and touching all at once.
I also enjoy a good coming-of-age story. Whether a book or movie. A couple favorites there would be Stand by Me and My Life as a Dog, a Swedish movie with subtitles.
