I have a Mr. heater big maxx propane heater in my shop. They have a known problem with the small fitting that connects the air hose to the pressure switch that makes sure the exhaust fan is running and the chimney isn't blocked before it will light. You have to take the hose off and stick a wire into the fitting to clean it out then it will be fine again for a while. Problem is it happens far too often and I am thinking must be some way to fix the durn thing permanently. I'm really tempted to just stick a 110VAC relay on the motor leads and bypass that durn pressure switch all together. But that would defeat a safety and the safety police might take me to jail. Anyone ever dealt with something like this, any ideas? I have to keep my shop above freezing for the plumbing and have set up my shop computer with a system that will send me an email if the temperature drops below 50. It just told me the heater isn't working again. Thermostat is set at 50 and it reported 47, not a big deal now but could be when it's -2.
