I use a Remington Precision something-or-other (the one with the ceramic blade) to clean it up on occasion, and I occasionally pay the barber to get it back under control. I used to wear a goatee, then I grew in the sides a few years ago; I was going to go back, but I discovered something working a hayfield--a beard has a hellacious SPF factor. I have to put sunblock on the exposed skin on my neck, face, chest, and arms, but not where my beard is. A couple of years ago, I got a 2nd degree sunburn on my neck after a day in the field, but not even the slightest tenderness under my beard...

I use a gas powered weed whacker.
Same thing I use on the pubes. :yikes2::yikes2:

Usually only have to replace the chord three or four times a trimming session.

Actually I use the dissection scissors also. Kelly #4s seem to be the right size.
