My cousin bought a Springfield 1911 several years ago that has a detachable muzzle brake, it just slips in over the barrel and snaps into the retainer clip somehow. It's only about an inch long. The thing really works great, drops muzzle flip a good 50%. I've been searching Midway for one for my new Springfield, can't put the right words in the search engine. I called Springfield and they were no help, in fact customer service said they didn't make one and wouldn't recommend the use of one, but I kinda think she didn't know a lot about 1911s. And them Yanks is kinda hard to understand over the phone.:wink2: Any suggestions?
