With regard to the 20moa rail, it was already bought and paid for by me a yr ago from another project so we used it for that reason. Granted I don't need that much adjustment however it doesn't effect the ranges this rifle will be shot at in any way either.
I have a friend that shoots a high end 300BLO AR footprint rifle. My wife will not allow AR or AK rifles in the house. She never says a word about my other firearms which are mostly bolt guns, straight pulls, and one Magnum Research semi auto 22. She does not complain about the handguns either. Sandy Hook made this a reality as she is a retired school teacher and was off the charts about the SH shooting after it happened. So I decided to build a bolt gun using the 762x39 round to compete with the 300BLO. He is not high on the round and believes the 300 is far superior in every way. My gunsmith believes just the opposite. He has long felt that if one loads for a 762x39 it will make a more accurate rifle than the 300. So we got together and came up with this build. With regard to the 20moa rail, it was already bought and paid for by me a yr ago from another project so we used it for that reason. Granted I don't need that much adjustment however it doesn't effect the ranges this rifle will be shot at in any way either. I appreciate your interest in this build Adams.:thumbup3:
