My Arvest branch had a strict "no guns" policy with prominent signs stating such. But they got pushback, apparently, because they changed from "no guns" to "no open carry."

I just noticed yesterday they now have the old "no firearms allowed on these premises" sign.

Curious as to why.

Yeah, I saw this too. I ignore it, but I am very disappointed.

<edit> I go inside maybe once or twice a year. I'll try to make it a point to do so less now.

Yep, want to maximize the chances that ONLY the bank robber has a gun.

My branch's service level has declined - seems to have gone off the rails with covid. If it wasn't such a PITA to change I'd probably explore options.

I’ve seen similar signs on hospitals and bank doors for years. Ignored them all, went about my business. Since my ill, aging relatives have all passed, I don’t have the need to visit hospitals and bank lobby visits are very few, 2-3 times a year. Court house and airport visits less than that, mercifully. Oklahoma carry rules keep me from clubs, bars. Not that I’m very interested in throwing money at them anyway. If me and my guns aren’t welcome somewhere, I’ll keep my money out of there too.
