Color me stupid, but I thought they got all that information when they did the background check. What won't they think of next. Maybe they will do a "confirmation/cursory exam" while they are going door to door for vaccinations.

Your standard 4473 you fill out at your local gun store isn't stored by the feds nor do they have a registry of all of them. The only person that keeps a copy of that form is the FFL you go through for their FFL records per ATF regulations, the feds do not keep track of those, but at any given time they can walk into your FFL's shop and perform an "audit" and request to see said forms
