I can still 'smell' those caps! They usually took most of my allowance....

I caution you against accustoming the kids to koolaid at such a tender age. The Blue KoolAid or the Red KoolAid.
Dangerous proposition there. If he prefers the blue already, you just have to ride it out. Good luck.

I remember showing Mom the "sweetened" Kool-aid once as a kid (IIRC, it was a dime and the regular unsweetened was a nickel). We drank a fair amount of the stuff.

She looked at the package for several seconds (no doubt calculating the cost of sugar) and put it back on the shelf. AFAIK, she never bought one with the sugar added.

FWIW... the black cherry ain't half bad, especially if you skimp on the water a bit.

I would have to say that my vote would have to go to black cherry when it comes to stool-aid. But we typically drank a gallon of sun tea/day with about 1/4 cup of sugar in each glass!! Gooood stuff!!!!
