My sling, is like 33" (give or take, can't find my tape measure right now). I got a piece of paracord, put the swivels on the rifle, had my son hold the rifle until I got the desired length. put the measurement against a 2x4, laid the swivels on each end, then nailed 2 finish nails and put a swivel on each nail, approx. 33" apart. I did the paracord measurements the lazy way (which turned out to be a little more work, since I had a lot of string left over to pull through). If you notice, you'll see some black cord in the middle, I had put 6 strips, just melted into itself, on the swivels prior, changed my mind to just use the one camo color for all (as opposed to the 2 colors in the video). I just left the black in there and started the cobra weave over 3 strips. This step would be easier to just do it how the video says to come out more precise with each side, don't do the 6 strips inside. For both inside cobras, I measured approx. 50' each (a tad less so I was sure not to run out, you'd be fine with 46'-50' since I had about 9-10' left over on each). Do both inside cobra weaves, then I just stripped off the remaining paracord (which was around 110') for the 'over-it-all' last cobra weave. These videos can sometimes leave out vital information, especially the starts and finishes, they will skip ahead to further steps, etc., I just search them for the different styles and ideas. Since you can make almost anything with paracord, I have made multiple paracord projects, mostly this style weave since its very easy. Did a lot for the Jeep I used to have, grab straps, door catches, stuff of that sort. If you come to a point in the project you are not sure on, you can just search YouTube for "paracord bracelets" and they show more step by step stuff. Or, if you have more questions, I will video one and send to you.
