[QUOTE="shooterdave, post: 1223322, member: 3128"] So I ran into this 84 yr old man at Texoma. We got to talking about fishing and I told him that I had sold my boat a couple of years ago and have missed it every since. He told me that I needed to go look at this Nitro that he had for sale. He explained how he bought it new and was only selling it now cause he his son just got a new boat and they always use it. I agreed to go look at it, not really planning on buying one anytime soon. He showed me all the origional paperwork, books, and all service reciepts he had kept ofve the life on the boat. I expected him to price it around 5K. He told me that he really liked me and wanted to see the boat go to someone who lived in the area. (I have a place at Cardinal Cove). He said that If would give him $3200. for it he would take it to the local boat guy and have him go over it bow to stern and completely service it. I agreed. We took the boat to the marine this morning and he called me back a bit later and said that the boat guy said that the prop really wasn't the best fit for it and that he was going to put a new one on it, too! It should be ready to pick up late next week. Sometimes it pays to just be friendly to someone you meet.
