Nice snag on both, congrats.
IMO, part of finding a treasure is how good of deal you got.
In other words, I'm nosey as to what it cost.
No biggie if you rather not share.
I know a leather crafter in the Tulsa area that's done both gun and knife holster work for me that I can recommend, in both quality and price if decide to go that route.
Keep us posted.

Don’t mind saying the price, the nicer one with serial #matched sheath, $125. The rusty one I traded for a Gransfor Bruks hatchet I ordered at the beginning of the scamdemic, took forever to get here, then I was disappointed, buyers remorse, little axe cost me about $150. and although finely made with a metal overstrike guard and a nicely fitted leather mask for the bit, But, it is just too light, too little for the fire wood processing, splitting that I do. I’ve found a hatchet needs to be 2-3 lbs. to deliver the results I want. Also threw in a S&W switchblade for the trade.

I love pumas! Got a couple of the large lock backs and a SGB Hunting set that’s scaled in bone. I’d love to find one of them Bowles like you have!!
I will be visiting Pumas’ site again. Saw 2 or 3 fixed blades I really like. One has Zebra wood handle scales. Never seen anything like that, that I can remember.

Did you test the handle material?
Poked the butt end with a red hot needle, clamped in needle nose pliers, three times, once in the dark area near the tang. Sunk in slightly, 2 MM maybe? Two other sticks in the white part of the bone resulted in what I’d call light center punch dings. The white bone area felt pretty hard. Didn’t get the focus right on the pic.?

I’ve never really had good lucky finding deals at pawn shops. Most things seem overpriced. Aside from grabbing broken tools in the 90s and trading them in at Home Depot for good ones with lifetime warranties. Those dried up pretty fast.
