No secret I like it loud. And I mean LOUD. My Tahoe has a monster system with 2 subwoofer setups - one is a pair of 12s in a ported box that hides behind the 3rd row seats, the bigger setup is a monster box that has 3 15s and takes up the cabin from the middle row of seats back, but just below the window line, so it doesn't obstruct view. 3 alternators with a total of 680 amps of current available and a little over 7,500 watts available in the system. All Zapco amps and processing. If you know that company, you know it's not overrated flea-market power. So... that being said, my Z had a more modest system in it, but when switching from one car to the next, I was definitely disappointed in the sports car's audio. So, over a marathon 3-day weekend, we totally gutted the hatch and rebuilt everything, swapped a couple of amps out and finished and trimmed it all out so it looks nice. Did a fiberglass and MDF sub box in the floor, tossed the spare tire and am much, much happier with the result. I can still use my hatch to haul some small stuff, like an overnight bag, some groceries, etc., Here's the old system - not bad, but definitely lacking in the low end, in my opinion. The sub was a single Hsu Research 12 in about 1.35 cubic feet. A nice-sounding sub, but not made for high output at all, at all. So, here's kinda a middle-of-the-build picture to show you how much we got into it, lol. Here's the finished product, at 3:30AM on Tuesday morning: The flash makes that carpet look like it doesn't match, but it does. Here's a link to a little over 100 of the pics, which I uploaded, have about 400 in all, I think.
