Question for any sks guys, I've had this sks for about 25 yrs. and it's always been a mystery, other than an importers mark, a couple of proof Mark's and ser #'s there is nothing else. It has a very low ser # in the 12k range. Is it an early Russian type 56, some other country that did put a manufacturer's name or what???

Thanks for the reply. When I get home I'll get some pics of it, but the guy I got it from put a tapco folding stock on it so it basically looks like any other sks with a crappy stock. I plan on putting original furniture back.
It is Ok we like ugly gun pics as well!! 🙂

even on the tapco stock, did it come with the bayo? you can identify country of origin sometimes just by the spiker. sharp, thin, and pointy? likely norinco. actual knife, almost like a small scimitar? tula
