The neckbeard clique can easily be identified by the same custom shirts they wear when buying up ammo at the retail stores during the day and cruising the clubs at night charming the ladies and buying them drinks with the profits from their ammo reselling.

Not so fast.
I am still not understanding how this term came about or why everyone here uses it.
I know a whole lot of "unshaven" and "unkept" individuals that are great people that would have no part of price gouging people.
On the other hand, I know a lot of well kept, clean shaven individuals that would bend you over on a deal as quick as look at you.

So I still wonder, why use that term and where did it come from in relation to the gun world.

A lot of us on here can be unkept and unshaven, that would just make you scruffy!! And Han Solo made scruffy cool since the 70's.
Key part of the description is "a POS who screws over his fellow man" So If you are not doing that then your not a neckbeard your just scruffy!! And to tell the truth I do not know how the neckbeard part came about, I just go with it and assume neckbeard is a nicer way to say POS.

Simple. A neckbeard is one that buys up stuff in demand when it first comes available and sells at a much higher price. For instance, say a retail ammo store gets in a whole case of 9mm ammo and the neckbeard takes all the boxes of ammor off the shelf, thus buying the whole case. He buys it at the regular retail price and then adds a high percentage markup when he posts the ammo in the classifieds.
Uncouth , unshaven dick wads that have no job so they have time to stand in line and snatch up all ammo related items and then stick it to people by charging folks up to 10 times the actual price... Some call them capitalists but I have another set of initials for them POS...

Mr Miller put it nicer than I did!!

“Talkative, self-important nerdy men (usually age 30 and up) who, through an inability to properly decode social cues, mistake others' strained tolerance of their blather for evidence of their own charm.”

And the ones who flip ammo!

To the OP - it is a derogatory term used to denigrate those that rise early, invest cash in a commodity and resell for markets prices.

The opportunity for purchasing ammo is available to all, yet those that show ambition are scorned by those that can't be burdened with inconvenience. Coupled with a lack of free market understanding, it creates envy and hate, much like AOC, Kamala Harris, or any number of socialists that would rather villainize those making profit, rather than show some drive and get part of that market themselves.
