what kind of 1911 is it? I’d recommend getting it cerakoted unless it’s a collector or something really special.

if you just really like bluing then I understand the reason to stay away from cerakote. I had a heavily carried Kimber cerakoted and I love it. Here’s a before and after. Just a thought since there’s a lot more cerakote applicators than there are gunsmiths that do blueing

Wouldn't want to suggest a guy in Altus when you live in Vinita or a guy in Broken Bow when you live in Guymon.

I had my slide on my CZ P07 milled for a Holosun red dot, refinished to the metal and refinished in an off nickel by DB customs. Outstanding job and it has shown zero wear and it's my every day carry.
