I haven't cleaned a squirrel yet this year, but I'll tell y'all something - if you cook gumbo, or know someone that cooks gumbo - instead of cooking yardbird and deboning before putting it in the pot, use squirrel instead. Lots more flavor, and this lets you use those old tough squirrels you might not want to fry.

Also, question. This sign is saying that it’s a walk in turkey hunting area, and the gate is open. Does that mean that when it’s not turkey season I can drive the road? I’m still waiting on replies from my last two attempts to contact the ODWC, figured one of you might know for sure.

Walk in means walk in no matter what I always thought. Open to discussion on that though in Oklahoma.
