Finally got the new Marlin together and out to shoot today. I put a Burris 2X7 pistol scope on with low Warne QD rings. It’s a good thing the scope rail is concave because the scope sits in perfectly. There is just enough space between the rail and eye piece to slide in a trifolded dollar bill. Alignment is perfect upon shouldering the rifle. Shooting was great as well. In 5 shots, I had it sighted in at 100 yards. I had some milk jugs filled with water that had been outside and were frozen solid, except for the thin layer around the outside. Hitting them with the 325 gr bullet turned them into slushees. You could have made margaritas with the ice after I shot them. Now it’s time to work up my own loads and see how accurate I can get it.
