Found a Canon F1 at a local antique store. Camera and two lenses for $42.00. Just got it back from DC Camera in Dell City, he did a good clean, lube and alignment job on it.
For the younger folks here, this was Canon’s first professional camera, made to compete with the Nikon F and F2. Lots of journalists carried these tough as nails cameras. Waiting for the temps to warm up a bit so I can run a roll of film through it.

Thanks for sharing. I had an AE-1 back in the day, very high tech and top of the line in its day. I kept some of the accessories and upgraded to a T-70 I found in a pawn shop with a 200x lense a few years later which I still have along with others I have had through the years, an old Paloroid accordion Land Camera, a Kodak Instamatic I carried on my dirt bike years ago, a Minolta 16MG 110, a hand held RCA VCR camera, my first Vivitar Digital Camera and a few others sitting on my fireplace mantel gathering dust Yep lots of changes in technology but nice conversation pieces.

Here, but occasionally There.
My first SLR was an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic that I bought while stationed in Pakistan. Later, my mom wanted a good SLR, so I helped her pick a Minolta XG-1 and a couple of lenses. She did fine with it for a few years, and then one year on a cruise, she didn't have any pictures come out. When I showed up for a visit, she gifted me the camera and lenses and bought herself a point and shoot.

Then, at another family get-together later, my sister said she wanted to sell her Canon T-50 and one lens. She said she wanted $50, so I paid her and took possession. With three cameras like those, I figured to have the Pentax with the strongest telephoto lens, the Minolta with a little weaker telephoto lens, and then the Canon with a 50mm lens and the motor drive for advancing film. Oddly enough, I never got the chance to take all of them and hide out in the forest to "shoot" wildlife with them.

When we downsized to move into the RV, there was no room for storing three cameras and all those lenses, so I sold them to a guy that was buying for a granddaughter that wanted to take photography lessons.

Couple of pictures I took yesterday at Lebanon Pool. I reckon some duck hunters drove their boat across the ice.
