Got 2 new Banks feeders to try out. They were $299 each with free shipping. Supposedly hogs can’t really mess with them but time will tell. So far after the first night, zero deer. The coons attempted to get to the corn but were unsuccessful. I imagine eventually they will climb on each other’s backs to get up there though. Used a tin chimney ($18 each) stovepipe to go around the 4x4. Hopefully a mature buck will start feeding out of it. I’ll give it a month and take them down if not. Will post updates of how they work. Anybody else have any experience with these?

I can't read the picture but those feeding tubes need to be 42 inches off the ground as a minimum to thwart the coons. The deer will take to them soon enough.
I read mostly recommendations for 38-40 so I went with that. I can add 4x4 pieces to the top of the post if I start having problems. I expect I will eventually.

You should be ok. I think mine on my Boss Bucks dropped to 37 or 38” when I added the aftermarket timers, and I haven’t had any coon problems.

I’m liking the feeders but the coons are starting to keep the bucks away. The feeder is horribly designed. Going to put Vaseline all over the pole tomorrow and screw in some tin to cover the top edge of the pipe. Seems to be that’s how they pull themselves up to get on top. I’ve tried metal and pvc now. Sprayed with silicone and nothing stops them. Hopefully if I take away the top edge of the pipe they won’t be able to climb anymore. I trapped 5 with live traps and a week later there was twice as many showing up. If this doesn’t work, I’m gonna go spend a fortune on spreading roasted soybeans and corn everywhere so my lady gets a shot at this buck.
