I wonder how long it would take to clean up a larger stone, say one the size of your fist?
It is suggested to mix rocks of different sizes in the tumbler as well as equal hardness. My tumbler isn’t big enough to polish one that large though. They will reduce in size by almost 50%, so if one wanted a finished stone the size of a fist, they would have to start with one big as a softball.I wonder how long it would take to clean up a larger stone, say one the size of your fist?
We are actually in OKC today as my sister had to get a heart procedure done which turned out successfully.Very cool @dennishoddy! Minnick Materials on Council, south of 10th street, probably has what you want in terms of rocks.
It’s a 3 lb model from Amazon sold under the National Geographic trade name. I got the one with three speeds which was more expensive but everything I read said you need to vary the speeds in the process. What tumbler are you using?
There’s a minnick just north of memorial on Santa Fe alsoVery cool @dennishoddy! Minnick Materials on Council, south of 10th street, probably has what you want in terms of rocks.
