Why doesn’t anyone make a new solid, lightweight, 16” barrel 223 bolt gun? I mean, the CZ is really great and fills all the major checkboxes, but I really dislike the stock.

Oh yeah I forgot about those. The magazines going for $50+ is a real bummer though. I don’t think they sell them in less than a 20” barrel anymore as well. I would really like to stick with a 16-18”.

Close, but with the shorter barrel and aics mags I think the scout is about what I’m looking for. Both the scout and the hog hunter are right at the top of the weight limit I have. I think the Ruger American Ranch in 223 is exactly what I want, I just gotta find one.

Not a bolt action but a Thompson Contender with a 16" barrel is incredibly handy.

I was just looking at that CZ 600 Trail last night. That thing would he at the top of my list if it were 300 Blackout. Not a hard conversion from 223 though. Hmmmm

Looks like they listened to you and it’s available in 300BO now. I ordered one in .223 today. We will see how it is. I bought it to live in the feed truck.
