The older I get, the more of a Luddite I become. I'm digging these new revolvers and have even carried a single action revolver before. I'm either getting wiser or dumber; I'm not sure I care, though!

I do not like it at all. Sorry folks.
I like my pistols in 357 magnum to have 6" or longer barrels and adjustable rear sights.
It's a 357 MAGNUM. They need to call this new 3" barrel something other than King Cobra.
maybe King Snake of Garter Snake. To puny to be called Cobra of any kind.

Looks as if they are trying to make money on a name.
Fail in my book.
Not even a legal length barrel length to hunt with.

Researched velocity and 125gr from 3" in 357 mag is about the same as 115 gr 3" 9mm load.
No King in that Cobra.

I do not carry so I may be biased towards hunting guns.

I'll wait to see if Kimber releases something with an external hammer before buying in to the new Colts. It looks like they've done some innovative things that improve on existing revolver designs.

Does anyone else find it interesting that the marketing for the new King Cobra all focuses on how "collectable" it is? They may be great revolvers, but is seems like they're hoping that the Colt name is enough justification for anyone to buy one.

That's an idea; take my 8" Anaconda to the Eat'n'Shoot. Next time I'm in Enid, I'll pick up a couple boxes of 44 Mag ammo.

My Dad bought an Anaconda at his LGS when they first came out. It was a 6” (I believe) in .45 LC. The second time we took it out to the gun range (dirt pile on the edge of town) A guy offered him $600 for it. He was happy making $150 profit on a whim purchase... DOH.
