New laptop deals?

Any of you computer savvy folks seeing any good sales on laptops this week? My kids are going to need one each for online college soon, and we're thinking one for Christmas would work. Would like to stay in the $300-500 range (if thats doable?), like I said just something to support college work would be fine. TIA!

There are plenty of decent laptops in your price range just look around. Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon.

I've done well watching the Dell outlet. You need to be semi-flexible on specs, but I've found pretty solid deals there.

Guess I should add 2 things: 1- I live 2 hrs west of OKC, so I'd really need either online or Walmart deals; & 2- recommendations would be nice too, as I have no clue what all the specs mean on a computer!

Walmart has a lenovo 14 inch for $149.00 for black Friday.They also have a HP for $199.00. I still have a HP i bought 10 years ago at black Friday i still use.

You need at least 8gb of ram to run windows 11 in a reasonable manner. You want an ssd drive for performance. 256gb is okay, much more than that, the price goes up. I would get at least an i5 processor or a Ryzen 5 series. Also watch the battery life.
