How many hundred of times has that post started? As an older person I'm sad to not know things but have enough sense to realize you have to start somewhere.
Have a single stage press, hornady custom 3 die for 45acp, beam scale (measure 2-3 times one case at a time), digital calipers, one of those one book one caliber, lots of Internet reading, chose HP-38 because it looked to be a good middle of the road 1st time powder, box of x-treme 200gr RN, fed primers...
Just can't seem to narrow down the proper charge for that powder with a 200gr copper coated RN. Still very dirty on spent casing, still stove-pipe too often and still makes my Glock 30 sad. I'm up to 5.2gr being too weak still, 5.3 is better, 5.4 maybe better. 10 loads at a time of each as I worked from about 4.6-5.5 based on book values for hp-38 in .2-.3 increments to narrow down. Now I'm in 10ths and still struggling.
Not sure I'm getting a correct taper crimp but COL is 1.26 based on my purchased 200g reloads, this last set I checked that at top of crimp at was about .472. Am seating and crimping separate steps. Think I'm close but just not there on being able to reliably reload my first caliper!

First off, I'm not familiar with reloading for a glock. I'm a 1911 guy, and there are differences.
I'm sure someone more familiar will offer more advice, but mine is to try a 230 grain round nose, and what accuracy at what distance are you expecting?
At pistol distances, you don't need to tune to the 1/10 grain for accuracy.
The dirty cases may be a result of too low of a powder charge not allowing the case to expand to the chamber and seal it off resulting in a little gas blowback.
If your loading for plinking rounds that are low power, the dirty case may be the norm, but if loading for self defence with hot loads, you should experience very little discoloration.

No the accuracy isn't really a concern. Only got the 200gr because I have been purchasing them that way for the last year from Internet sources. (Had to make it harder on myself to learn a less common weight to reload I guess.) The minor up and down in 1/10 is to find the first load that is reliable in the glock 30. Working on getting past the feed/eject stage to a reliable reload. And seeing 'gold' dust in my glock is weird. I think it is the brass being scraped as they are fed so I'm not overly worried yet but it's all related to a poor reload so far. That's my theory.
Wife and I shoot paper tigers for fun at standard basic distances. The Glock was a birthday gift that is too heavy, in my opinion, to carry so reserved for fun.

I shoot 200 grain Semi Wad cutters in my 1911, as well as 185 grain, and 230 grain round nose and HP for Self Defense.
Pretty much cover the spectrum.
I had issues with the 200 grain lead semi-wad cutters ejecting and loading because I didn't have them seated long enough.
The rule of thumb on semi wadcutters for 1911 anyway is about a .020-.030 exposure of the sharp shoulder above the case.
The same holds true with a round nose. It has to be seated long enough to gain reliability.
The sharp shoulder of a round nose is not so evident in the bullet like your shooting.
Try seating it out a little longer in different tests and see if that helps.
I don't know what brand of dies you're using, but the bullet seater dies have an option of a round nose or a flat nose in some models.
Make sure your seater dies have the correct insert for the bullet your using.

Those bullets you have I think are .452" diameter and in some tight throat guns will cause issues.
.451" will many times fix the issue.
I live in yukon and If you would like to bring some of your built ammo over and the gun I can look it over and see if i can
fix your issues.
Buddies Kimber custom was about the pickiest I ever seen but he is loving it now.

This is a low-recoil, low velocity round. It averaged 705 to 710 fps. I have fired 100s of rounds on the indoor Combat range at St. Joseph (Missouri) Total Range using both Rainier’s jacketed flatnose and hollowpoint 200-grain bullet. 3.5grains resulted in 100% function in my Glock 30, but the empties seemed to fall between me and the pistol. With 3.6 grains, ejection was adequately forceful. As for the primers, the only large pistol primers at my dealer’s were the Winchester Magnum Large Pistol primers and that is what I worked the load up with. I have found that I need to keep the firing pin clean as well as the slide where the firing pin rides and where it penetrates to the primer. Negelect here caused misfires due to striking residue and softening the blow to the primer.

Yes it is, it really gets intense in the 185gr category. Some of these guys shot Camp Perry in the 60's lol.
I use the .45acp 185 grain +P in my Kimber as a hunting load. Two does and one bobcat down with one bullet recovered in a perfect mushroom from the cat, and complete pass through on the does.

Tornado Alley
I'm assuming you are topped out at 5.5 on your powder charge? I suspect that's not enough. Glocks aren't tight chambered at all and they like full power loads, especially the short ones. I've never loaded with that powder so I'm unfamiliar with it but can tell you that I'd probably start right in the middle of the load range and work up from there on most any Glock or M&P. Just measure the bullet and keep the internal case volume the same as whatever bullet you have data for. Hodgdon shows 5.9 as a max with a JHP bullet. The Extreme plated bullets are far softer than a JHP so from a safety standpoint 5.9 would be fine but that plated bullet may not shoot worth a darn running that hard. But then again it might since .45 is a low pressure round to begin with. Plated bullets are very soft lead with a thin copper plating over it. They need to be treated similar to a swaged lead bullet but sometimes the plating will let you get away with some stuff in some guns. I'm just guessing here, but I'd bet the gun starts running at 5.7 or 5.8. If it's still not running there you may be loading too long.

Edit: You crimp sounds pretty close. You really just want to remove the bell, a crimp won't hold the bullet in anyway on .45.
