When my parents moved to WA the real estate agents would see their California plates and flip the open sign to closed.
When was that?
When I first stepped foot in WA, you could get T-shirts and bumper stickers that said “Californians go home” and “We don’t tan, we rust”. Lol
One of the best gun shops in Seattle was on 1st ave near Pioneer Square.

It was in the late 70's.

I bought my 1st 10/22 at that shop, took it home ON THE BUS, no box, no-one batted an eye. That was early 2000s, things changed fast. Seattle no longer has a gun shop. They instituted a gun tax and a 5 cent per round ammo tax that pushed everything out of city limits. Ironically crime and shootings went thru the roof. One one of my last nights there heard a giggle switch block go off, that's a few bucks in tax.
