New mod for Mopar car show and a some laps around Texas Motor Speedway

Basically the dude directed me and 8 cars behind me into a blocked off parking lot with no way out except the way we came in. When I got back to him and asked what the heck that was all about he threw an attitude which I reciprocated and he said I was banned from the event. He finally told me to get in line, pointed me in the right direction so there I went. After sitting there a few minutes he came by and told me to follow him and escorted me to front of the line. Got there, he appologized for being an a-hole (his words) and I went straight to registration.

Thats cool of him to fess up he had an attitude. Probable hot, and miserable.

At least he apologized. I swear some of the stories I've read on FB today (and the personal accounts of friends in the car club we belong to who made the trip) have made me swear to NEVER darken the door to that particular event.

I'm done hanging out with people who think I owe them, especially when I'm the one ponying up the money. Glad the Laps for Vets gathered as much money as it did but there are plenty of veteran's charities I can give to without being treated like **** while I'm doing it.

Gates opened at noon....people were lined up at 8 before staff even arrived. The organizer also said 80% of the people who signed up to help didnt show. It was a cluster for sure...so I just got in, parked and hung out all day. They grew from 800 registrations last year to 1800 this year. Growing pains for sure but I have faith next year will be much better.

I heard. You didn't happen to make it over to the VIP Parking and see the Suicide Squad car, did you?? I LOVE THAT CAR! Lol

I walked VIP, probably saw it but was gawking at a Magnum with a Charger front clip.

She took one of the Top 100 trophies. She was over the moon -- and we were the same for her! That car is her pride and joy. If I am not mistaken her son does custom work on cars of all kinds.
