Had an absolute blast, and got blasted as well. Anybody that brings an AR into an indoor range with a Rolling Thunder Brake on it next to my lane needs this. :buttkick::smack: Not in our group, but he was blowing things off our lane that didn't have nails in them. :madbox: Other than that distraction, it was a great time, and loved every minute of it. Met a lot of new folks. Cohiba made it to the eat part but couldn't make the shooting part. We had a good visit at Del Rancho. Shot the Gill guns, and several other handguns that I've never shot before. Loved it. The rifle Okierider asked about is a Winchester Model 1890 in .22 Long, octagon barrel, pump action. A John M. Browning design. This particular model is a second issue takedown model that originally had the case hardened finish that has evolved into a medium brown patina over time. Back when longs became non-existent, I did a little work to it so it would shoot LR. The rifle is bullet specific meaning, one could not interchange long, LR, or short. These were very popular as Gallery Guns back in the day around carnivals and circuses. Not many around that don't have the barrels shot out because of that use. I still use it on occasion around the barn when wood bees come around in the spring. They have a tendency to hover right over the eve to guard their nests, so some .22 birdshot comes in real handy. I call it redneck trap shooting. Got home, and it was so nice I loaded up the ATV and went to the off-road area at Kaw lake and went riding until dark.
