New York AG seeks to dissolve NRA in new lawsuit

New York Attorney General Letitia James announced Thursday that her office has filed a lawsuit against the National Rifle Association and its leadership, including Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre, looking to dissolve the organization.

James accused the organization of having "a culture of self-dealing," taking millions of dollars for personal use and granting contracts that benefited leaders' family and associates.

"The NRA's influence has been so powerful that the organization went unchecked for decades while top executives funneled millions into their own pockets," James said in a statement. "The NRA is fraught with fraud and abuse, which is why, today, we seek to dissolve the NRA, because no organization is above the law."

I agree with Trump - the NRA needs to move out of New York. A further thought, all gun/ ammo and related entities should get out. Why would any firearms related business or organization want to operate there?

Its arrogance that is stopping the NRA from moving their Corporate Charter out of NY! President Trump is arrogant, but even he recognized that it was time to move his official state of residency to Florida. A move that negated the NY Attorney General's access to financial records based on claims that he is a state resident.

They're almost like the "Breast Cancer Awareness" bunch. They raise awareness but don't "treat" anything. The NRA is basically a money laundering scheme these days and they've got enough people fooled to continue padding their own pockets.
