Now this is news you can use!
TULSA, Oklahoma -
A STORY WE’RE WORKING ON…

You buy a gun, take a safety course and train to shoot accurately, but do you know how keep a criminal from taking your gun away during an encounter?

A former Navy Seal walks Lori Fullbright through three scenarios every gun owner should know. See Lori’s completed report tonight at 10.

Weapon retention is a great (indeed, necessary) skill to have if you’re going to carry a gun on your person, but don’t rely on a local market crime reporter’s 3 minute segment on the 10:00 P.M. news for that training - instead, attend a real hands-on course taught by an accredited firearms/self-defense instructor.

They just ran Lori's report. It was just a quick overview of three scenarios and the main concept of what to do in each but Lori emphasized that gun owners need to train how to keep their weapons, not just how to shoot them. It's nice to see a report on the news that recognizes not only our right to self defense, but encourages people to learn how to properly protect themselves. When I see the report posted on the News on 6's web site, I'll post a link in the thread.

That was Lori's point, Backstrap: "Here's what you need to learn, now go find a place to learn it."
