I'm in the process of researching my next suppressor purchase. I've talked on here about looking at the SilencerCo Hybrid because of all the things it can do - and pretty well from what I've heard. However, I was advised by a good friend that the pistol capability is not worth the sacrifices in rifle performance. Also, the extra cost. The Hybrid set up for QD across my 4 rifles (2-5.56 ARs, 1-.300 blk AR, 1-.243 bolt action) and for the pistol (G19 for now) would cost me in the neighborhood of $1750 - including threaded barrel options for the guns that aren't. The catch there is I'm wanting to stay closer to $1k. So that would require selling something to make up the difference. My friend recommended the Sandman QD cans instead. Basically get a good QD rifle can and mounts then some other time get a dedicated pistol can if I want to. I can get into a Sandman-S + 2 extra 5.56 QD brakes + $200 tax stamp for much closer to $1k. After some research, that's what I'm leaning towards. My question for you folks here, is do you have any experience with the cans mentioned, or similar cans that I might be able to get for close to $1k. The budget is pretty firm, but not hard. I typically get a $1,000 bonus around Thanksgiving, hence that figure as the budget. I can add a bit to it if necessary, but I'd prefer not to have to add several hundred. Let's say +$100-200 if needed.
