[QUOTE="Hangfire, post: 3056451, member: 27673"] I've been drinking scotch since the early 70's and Johnnie Walker Black has always been my 'go to' / everyday scotch.....I'm certainly not a scotch purist as I like a good bar size glass of scotch & water on occasion. About two years ago I tried sherry finished Lasanta and Dalmore 12 (neat or with ice only) and now I find that JWB by comparison (even when mixed with water) is too harsh, strong, peaty etc.....BTW, I favor Dalmore 12 just a tad more over the Lasanta and Dalmore is what I refer to now as my 'sippin' scotch. Now that I have found my sippin' scotch I need a replacement for JWB......blend or single malt what is a good everyday, scotch & water, non peaty, smooth scotch in the same price range (less is also good :)) as JWB ?
