I think I'm going to be ticked off the whole day now.
I've been making a table for the wife that she has been wanting for some time. About 8 months ago I bought a nice marble round table top at a garage sale for $20 just for this purpose. Yesterday I had everything finished to a point where the table top was ready to be attached to the base, & overnight, the cat was in the garage & caused this to happen.

I'm trying really hard to restrain myself from killing that cat.

Now I'm going to have to spend a couple hundred to get another marble top, or go another route & use wood & put formica on it

I have a 21" x32" piece of white with grey silver speck/flecks marble or granite I do not know the difference.
It has the corners cut out 2" circles at each 4 corners but still a good piece to make a small table top.

3/4" thick Free if you want it.. kind of far to drive for something like that.
My son found a craigslist add where this guy gives away that stuff often.
FREE.
I got some and build tops for my outdoor BBQ grill.

I hate cats that roam free. FYI
One day I may eat one just to say I did.

The epoxy thing might be good,
I just wonder how strong it would be & how much it would take on the overhang.

Besides, in my disgust & anger,
Upon removing all the broken pieces from where they landed, I now have about 3 times as many pieces.

I'm kinda thinking about a mosaic type look now with all the pieces.
