Fun fact... Most fiberglass fishing boats no longer have wood in them. Aluminum reinforcement gained popularity about ten years ago.
Yep. My Triton has no wood in the construction and it’s a 2002. It’s been on a LOT of stumps and other than a few small chips in the finish and some scratches, I can’t find anything the newer boats will do that it won’t, except for the stowaway ladder. I’ve upgraded the trolling motor and electronics and it just flat works.
