Now this is a 10mm Glock I could get into.

They put the ug in ugly and I did not like the grip angle. had both a 20 and 21 and sold both. I read about the reason glock made the grip angle what they did but I would point, roll the wrist click . 1911.... point and click . Revolvers same point and click ............ Both the Glocks were fine weapons and run great ..........just no likey!!

I thought the FBI abandoned the 10mm because of over penetration. I've shot both .40 S&W and 10mm. Yeah, the 10 is 'snappier' but certainly not uncontrollable. The main reason I did not buy a 10 years ago was the price and availability of ammo.

I think the FBI dropped the 10mm because S&W helped develop the 40 S&W so the round would fit in the Smith 9 mm sized frames. Since the FBI adopted the .40 so then did most everyone else. When it became popular to become inclusive the smaller folks could not handle the .40 let alone, the 10 mm. Hence we are back to the 9mm.

Those pistols are available in OK or from a reputable dealer you can pay with a credit card to afford yourself some protection. Patience and look around.
Winner...Be patient, it ain't like Glock isn't making anymore. Btw, if you have any credentials, or a dd214, Gtdist will sell you a blue label for under 600. I paid 5something for a new blue label g20. might consider selling it, if interested.

10mm is pretty awesome. I love my Glock 40. It is big and heavy, and with the dual recoil springs isn’t bad to shoot at all. I’ve killed to deer with mine, both one shot each. As others have stated, be patient and something in OK will turn up sooner or later. It’s not a cartridge for everyone.

I have a Glock 20 gen4.
I love the 10mm round. Use to carry it in the woods while deer and elk hunting.
Been looking for the G29 20mm for winter carry.
But I would definitely love to get my hands on a G40 as well.

The story, as reported in the gun rags at the time, was that the 10mm was too much for smaller agents to handle, which led to the reduced-charge "10mm FBI Lite" loading. That loading led to the development of the .40 S&W (which then acquired the moniker ".40 Short & Wimpy"). IIRC, the S&W pistols the Feebies bought were also having trouble standing up to the pounding of the full 10mm loading.

Personally, I think the FBI's penchant for blaming "things" over the shortcomings of their own training and tactics (as seen in their analysis of the Miami Shootout that led to them to switch to 10mm in the first place) makes the "ooh, it's not good for smaller agents" excuse more likely. 10mm did have a reputation for battering the snot out of early 10mm autos, though, so it can't be ruled out as a factor.

FWIW, I used to shoot PMC full-house 10mm in my Colt Delta Elite quite regularly, and I never found it unpleasant to shoot. I almost bought a Glock 27 until I shot it. That was the singularly most uncomfortable shootin' iron I've ever had the displeasure of discharging--and I used to shoot a 4" Model 29 on a regular basis.

Thanks for the insight. If'n a 4" 29 didn't bother you, I have no business shooting a G27!
