It's a free included benefit, but I just discovered you have to go click the checkbox to activate it. Go log in to the website, click on Manage Your Membership, then down toward the bottom, in the box labeled My No Cost Gun Owner Protection Plan, make sure it's activated. If it isn't, click the button, put in your birthdate, and you should be good to go.

Kind of sleazy to advertise a free benefit, but not activate it until you take positive action to do so, but there it is. This post is just a PSA for others who didn't know.

Thanks for that tip. My benefit was not activated; it is now.

Hmmmmm. You may have saved me a future headache Dave. I KNOW I had already activated thru the email they sent me a week or so ago but I just logged into member services as you mentioned and the "activate" box was staring at me near the bottom. I activated there. Dunno if they hadn't updated it since I still haven't recent anything in my mailbox(the one out by the driveway) or if some sleaziness but it's done now.
