I think from what I've read/saw online, those hornady rounds you were using actually perform a little better as far as expansion and penetration. Maybe someone else that knows more can step in with the details.

Yeah, saw a review of the "new" nyclads like ammunitiontogo (think that's who had them in stock online?) and they didn't do as well as the Hornady stuff you were using. In fact, I liked the hornady stuff so much that I got a hold of some for my G33.

That XTP is a helluva round. I remember when they first came out back in 1989/1990. I had my BIL load me some up for the 629 I was totin back then.

That was before my chief authorized autos. We were still carrying revolvers.

I miss those days. :cry3:
