Never got him a buck this year, but the youngest did drop this big doe this evening right before dark. Took his "new" rifle tonight, the 6.5x55 Swede that his grandpa left with us this last week. Doe was about 115 yards, pretty much a head on shot, didn't take a step. She's cut up and in the cooler already, and thus ends our rifle season. Might try some more does in a couple weeks...
Congrats to him getting the doe!

I didn’t pull the trigger all of gun season, nor muzzleloader, nor bow...yet. And the good thing is that my big target buck is still running around as of last night, so maybe bow, or maybe he will be there next year.

Tell him congratulations. Also a great shot. If you don't have room for all them guns your dad keeps leaving you I can store them for you. Promise they will be in good shape when you need them just well used.

His way of thinking, he don't have much else to leave them, so he's gone crazy buying, trading, building, etc...my kids are 3 of 4 grandkids they have, and the other one aint really being brought up to shoot/hunt much I believe...these kids are gonna have more guns when they graduate than I had at 30 LOL
