Back in 2005 Bush warned something like this would hit and be bad. He even built up a stockpile of PPE, etc but Obama and Biden let it run down without replacing what was used and then Trump did not replace it either. So not only citizens but government too must learn to keep a stock on hand.

It appears that state governments have gotten too dependent on the feds and local hospitals too dependent on the state government s.....as opposed to being responsible for keeping their own house prepared. Self-reliance has been under emphasized.

Of course there is a role for national-level experts to stay on top of developing trends and new threats but the idea that big daddy should have a national stockpile to satisfy every emergency need is a dangerous idea. Spread out the responsibility and increase the resilience.

I just talked to someone that was at one if the OU hospitals today and they were told that anyone coming in for an appointment that had chronic illness and a temp of 100° or higher was automatically placed in 14 day quarantine. No option to leave.

I don't know how they can do that but this person said they made it clear that there was no option to leave. They were very worried because they were bringing their child to an appointment and they (the parent) frequently have a low grade fever because of chronic health issues.

Idiot girl in Texas is being sought for Terroristic Threat.

CARROLLTON, Texas — Carrollton police are searching for an 18-year-old who recorded herself inside a Walmart after she said she tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday.

Carrollton police identified the teenager as Lorraine Maradiaga and said on Twitter they were searching for her. Police said Maradiaga is being charged with making a terrorist threat.
