Love the buffalo. We’ve canoed a lot of its length over the years, picking a new section each time.
Ponca end gets pretty shallow in places without spring rains to help it out.

From Canyon Overlook off of Highway 9 going into Zion National Park, and that highway below is Highway 9. This is NOT the main canyon for Zion.



Court of the Patriarchs - The three peaks with the white granite tops are named for Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (left to right). Jacob is kind of hiding behind an imposing red peak.



As yet, I've not been able to get a picture of the main Zion canyon. That would require climbing one or another of strenuous hikes, one of which is up to Angel's Landing. That one requires some pretty good scrambling to get to Angel's. However, Scout's Lookout is below Angel's Landing and is on the way up to there. I might try to get that far to see what kind of canyon views I could see.
